Nine Poker is a member of the Action Poker Network and run by Nine.com. So as well as being secure, it is also connected to a Sportsbook, Racebook and Casino. Nine Poker has quite a high number of players, due to people coming across from the Casino etc. This means that the games are quite loose as most players are new to online poker. The table graphics provided by LVFH software are clear with large cards and the lobby shows the table name, the stakes, the limit, flop percentage, the number of players and the average wait time and pot. There is also a statistics function that enables you to look at both yours and your opponents’ stats, including win percentage, total dealt hands, pots won and flop percentage. This way you can know what you are up against.

Bonuses and Promotions
Nine Poker offers one of the best deposit matches at 150%, so if you deposit $100 when you first open your account, $150 are placed in you bonus pending account. This is followed up with a 25% reload bonus (of up to $125) when you add more funds. Before you can spend your bonus however you have to earn it through Poker Option Points (POP) which are earned by playing raked hands. 1 POP is awarded for each 10c rake contributed. For example if you have contributed $2 to a $10 pot and the rake is 5%, then of that 50c rake, a fifth is attributed to you. In this case that would be 10c and therefore you have earned 1 POP. The POPs earned need to equate the full amount of the bonus before it can be released and there is a time limit of 60 days for you to earn your bonus. To keep track of how you are doing, your POP rating is shown in the lobby.
On signing up you are given $25 to spend in the Sportsbook. Nine.com are encouraging people to use all areas of their site, which means that a large number of the players in the poker room are novices who have come over from the casino and betting areas.

Rake
The rake rates are no currently described on the website, which implies that they are high rather than low. It is 5% up to a rather high maximum of  $1 on the lower stake games and a maximum of $3 on higher stake games.
