Summary
Bet Hold’em Poker is one of the Prima Poker Network sites. This means that there is a wide base of shared players, many of whom are new to online poker, who have come via the casino or sportsbook. If you are new to on-line poker this is a good website to get started with as it has the rules of the games, tutorials, a site tour, and a glossary. It is also possible to practise for free first, and there is the added help of note taking support and game histories, allowing you to stay on top of your opponents’ game and you can check out your own game statistics. The traffic here is spread out over both different games and limits, though it is still possible to find soft games if that is what you are looking for.
The tables can be viewed in three different sizes, and as you can run eight games at a time this comes in useful allowing you to see up to five tables at a time in micro size. The player progress bar helps you to keep track of how long you have left to play in each hand, and if it’s fast games you are after there are turbo games, which tend to have higher flop percentages than average.

Games
Bet Hold’em has a variety of games, featuring the most popular, Texas hold’em, Omaha (including Hi/Lo), seven card stud, five card stud and 1 on 1. There are a range of tables starting from micro limits for the beginner (.02c-.05c), up to $100-$200 for the more serious player. There is also the option of starting a private table and a number of tournaments running daily. The average number of players at peak times is between 2300-2500 at the tables and 4500-5000 in tournaments, providing a range of skill.

Navigation
The site is easy to navigate with clear headings and information is easy to find. The graphics for the table are clear, with good size cards and a simple layout. The lobby allows you to see at a glance the tables in play, including the limit, the stakes, the number of players, the wait, hands played, the average pot and the flop %. There is a tour of the site available which is extremely useless to those new to online poker as it explains the lobby and table set up, including taking you step by step through an imaginary hand.

Bonuses/Promotions
Bet Hold’em has a wide range of promotions and bonuses. These include a sign up deposit bonus of 50% up $250, which has to be earned by collecting points through play within 30 days. Every point earned equals $1 of your bonus to be paid to you. Points can only be earned in games with a minimum limit of $1/2, and where at least 25c is taken in rake, and also for every dollar taken in tournament fees, 1 point is earned. After the 30 days, points earned can be used to buy in to any tournament with the initials BP next to it. Bet Hold’em also has a leader board competition, where the top 60 active players each week (runs Friday to Thursday) are guaranteed a portion of $5000. The top 200 are also entered in to the Leader board tournament, the winner of which takes part in the Beat the Manager competition where $1500 is at stake. If the manager wins the prize money rolls over to the following week. Bet Hold’em also has a Bad Beat Jackpot, a Refer-a-Friend bonus of $50 for both you and your friend, and a magic hand prize. This is when a random hand number is picked in advance (every 1,000,000th hand) and the winner of that hand receives a prize, with the other players receiving bonuses.

Rake
The rake is between $1 and $3, based on the limit of the table and the number of players, but in works out at roughly 5%, with a reduced rake for the micro limit tables.

Deposits/Withdrawals
Deposits can be made with most major credit cards, NETeller, InstaCash, Firepay, Moneybookers, Express Money Transfer, cheque, Moneybookers, Swiftpay, Fed Ex draft, On demand funds and Wire Transfer. Withdrawal options are wire transfer, NETeller, Firepay, Express Money transfer, Moneybookers and Fed Ex draft.
