Summary
Battlefield Poker is one of the Prima Poker Network sites. This means that there is a wide base of shared players, many of whom are new to online poker, thanks to their wide ranging advertising. For those new to online poker this website is good as it allows you unlimited play for fun, allowing you to get use to the rules of the game before money is at stake. For those more experienced there is the multi-table function, allowing you to play at up to 3 tables, and game statistics so you can keep your eye on your opponents.
Games
Battlefield Poker has a variety of games, featuring the most popular, Texas hold’em, Omaha (including Hi/Lo), seven card stud, five card stud and 1-on-1 poker. There are also a number of tournaments including daily freerolls and satellites. The average number of players at peak times is between 2000-4000 at the tables and 5000 in tournaments, providing a range of skill.
Navigation
The site is easy to navigate with clear headings and information easy to find. The graphics for the table are clear, with good size cards and a simple layout. The lobby however is not that clear, for although it lists the games and stakes, they are spread over several pages rather than just one that can be seen at a glance.
Bonuses/Promotions
Battlefield Poker has a limited range of promotions and bonuses. There is no sign up deposit bonus or loyalty points scheme. They do though have a Bad Beat Jackpot, of $500, 50 % of which would be yours, 25% of which goes to the winner of the hand, with the other 25% being shared amongst the other players. There is also a magic hand prize of $250. This is when a random hand is picked in advance and whoever plays that hand wins. In the Monte Carlo Millions tournament the winner, who makes it through the five rounds, receives a $30000 package, with the chance to win $1 million. Finally, for just an $11 fee, there is a chance to win a seat in every WSOP event through playing tournaments.
Rake
The rake is capped at a maximum of $3, based on the limit of the table and the number of players, but in works out at roughly 5%.
Deposits/Withdrawals
Deposits can be made with most major credit cards, NETeller, Click2Pay, Firepay, Payspark, UsemyBank, Moneybookers, and Wire Transfer.
